I know they don't. I've talked to many of them. I've seen

someone more money or truly changed their life?" You'll hear quite a bit of back
peddling.

My story
I used to make $21.00 per session and kill myself doing 14 or 15 sessions per
day just to barely make a living. NOW, by using the techniques I've learned, I
raised my fee so I make $175.00 per session ($500 per month per client), and
accept only the best clients. Just think what it would mean to you and your
family if you grabbed that same kind of success.
Real People / Real Money
You've probably been bombarded with offers for books, tapes, and seminars that
promise giant earnings and no work. Not very believable, right? Coaching and
training are real business services that are used by executives, salespeople,
corporations, associations, schools, and other organizations. There are many
other people in the country who make a decent living this way. I happen
to be one of them.
The Perfect Business
The coaching business can be done part time or full time. You don't have to quit
your job and you can run your coaching business from a small area of your home

own bed every night. . . . The choice is yours.
You can go full time coaching when you feel the
time is right.
Travel
If you like to travel, this business provides lots of opportunities for you to
go and have the freedom to stay in control of your business as well as the
leverage to take time off when you need or want it. Your clients pick up the
bill no matter how much time you are out of the office because you still get
them the same results no matter where you are!! This past year, I’ve been to
Jacksonville, FL, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto (four times, as well as my
summer ‘working vacation’), Paris, Palm Springs, and Mexico AND here are two of
my favorites:
1. Greece (saw the Parthenon and the Greek Isles while doing conference calls
and making money!)!
2. I spent a week in Thailand while my coaching team ran itself. I traveled
all first class and stayed in Five Star Hotels. And Boy did I have fun!
Oh! I forgot. I'm scheduled to go on tour with one of the
many bands I play with (check them out at
www.Zindu.com in Arizona in July and then we are off to Peru for two weeks!
I’m looking forward to performing with them, doing radio and TV interviews, and
taking some time to see Machu Picchu. The whole time I’m traveling with
the band I’ll be growing my business. I’ll coach during the day and jam on my
gigs at night! How’s that for a crowd pleaser?
Perks When you make a huge difference for your clients, they are
extremely grateful. One of my clients is in publicity and she got me into the
new Cirque De Soleil and put me up in a five star hotel at Niagara Falls for the
weekend, while a cruise director that I coach sent me and my girlfriend on a
week long cruise of the Bahamas. It’s great to enjoy fun vacations, connect
with clients I love, and know that in the process I’m expanding my profits and
deepening and elongating the opportunities with the client I’m connecting with.
Tips If You Really Want to Make Money with your coaching business
You
must have a team if you want to make money.
Coaching has suffered from what I like to call the ‘guru complex’. We try to
convince each other that we have all the answers and skills needed to solve
every problem that any of our prospective clients have. That puts undo stress
on us and has us make impossible promises that we can’t keep. We have a short
lived client relationship as a result, an unhappy client, no referrals (the
lifeblood of a profitable coaching relationship), and a burned out and resigned
point of view. When you do the type of coaching that you are TRULY THE BEST AT
and leave the other coaching styles and consulting jobs to other people on your
team, you can relax, create great results for your clients, and know that your
clients are going to stay with you forever because WHY WOULD THEY LEAVE IF
THEY’RE GETTING EVERYTHING THEY NEED from the team that you have assembled?
My secret to generating $10,000 / month in income is not just in being a
competent and skilled coach (that’s still very important), but also in HAVING
COACHES AND CONSULTANTS THAT MAKE UP FOR YOUR WEAK AREAS WORKING WITH YOUR
CLIENT.
Another problem without a team is marketing, sales, and
anything that the gurus will tell you ‘is all up to you’. I’m not saying that
you can’t or even shouldn’t cold call, prospect, market, network, promote, etc.,
but doing it alone has a diminishing return and is not very much fun after a
while. Doing it on a team, however, is easier, more effective, faster, builds
confidence, and is a heck of a lot of fun! One of the biggest lessons I’ve
learned in the time I’ve build our team is that A GREAT COACH EVENTUALLY DOESN’T
HAVE TO PROSPECT AND SELF PROMOTE! If you are great, even good, others will
ask, even beg to promote you, because they stand to benefit greatly from your
expertise and RARE abilities. That’s why a virtuoso violinist doesn’t cold call
to book their gigs and Sting isn’t out hustling his next concert… people already
know that they have proven themselves and they can concentrate on what they do
best because the world desires and values it.
Facts and Figures
Professional level paid coaching and consulting is not a
get rich quick scheme or some kind of fad.
For many years thousands and thousands of individuals from all walks of life
and with all kinds of educational and experience backgrounds have made a very
comfortable living consulting and coaching.
Much of this can now be done from home. You don't always have to be on site
to make lots of money coaching. I'm making tens of thousands of dollars doing
coaching sessions and group coaching sessions, and virtual classrooms now
sitting right at my desk in my shorts and sporting a two day beard. . . . No
power suit necessary to contribute to hungry clients around the world.
Unfortunately, most coaches don’t make that much money. The average coaching
income is around $20,000 per year. This is because they are lone wolves
primarily, but also because of HOW they are doing what they do, as well as a
lack of skill set, knowledge, and a clear plan on how they will provide more

Another survey noted that 8 out of 10 people working for a
living either want to, or are actively preparing to start their own business.
Are you in this group? Much of their resistance is that they either don't know
what to do or feel that all their experience will be wasted if they quit their
job or leave their industry. This couldn't be further from the truth in the
coaching business. All the experience you've gained in both life and in business
can be crafted into specific coaching expertise for the corporate and personal
markets.

millions. Can you see how easy it is to get lost in the crowd? It is absolutely

of the business. Yes, you can probably eek out a living just calling yourself a
coach/consultant and taking whatever low fee jobs come your way, but who wants
to just get by?
The field is so wide open that anyone with any kind of business or life
experience can make it and make it big in professional coaching. You don't need
a PhD or even college degree to be a great coach. All it requires is that you
learn some innovative and intelligent techniques to be great during the sessions
your run and to develop your coaching arsenal of tools and strategies.
Costs
Running a coaching business is fantastic if you do it right. Do you have any
idea what it costs to startup most retail businesses? Literally tens of
thousands of dollars or more. The coaching business can be operated full or part
time right from your home. You probably already have a computer.
How much will you need to start your coaching business? The truth is that you
can start it for under $50.00, but this means you will be trying to find coach
chapter meetings to attend every month. These would be meetings of professional
coaches where you will be trying to learn bits and pieces here and there. This
is a very slow process. If you had four or five thousand to blow you could get a
reputable coach to spend a day with you and pound you full of information. I
doubt seriously that much would stick. There is just too much to learn in one
day.
You really have to watch out because as I told you earlier, many of the
people trying to teach coaching and coach marketing have never done it
themselves. Finding good reliable information is the key to keeping your costs
down and not wasting money.
I really learned my lesson. I'm
very careful of where I spend my money on my own training. I've made all the
mistakes. I don't want you to make them too.
THE FACT IS THAT YOU DON’T HAVE
TO SPEND LOTS OF MONEY ON THE BEST TRAINING IN THE WORLD!
Sometimes this information is so costly to learn that people with good
potential quit because they can't afford the "entry" fee. What a shame!
Anyone can do this if they can get the right direction from a credible source
at a reasonable price.
Learn from the Best
Talk about learning from the best . . . Let me tell you how I learned how to
be a really great coach (if I do say so myself). I was a good counselor to
friends and loved ones to start with so I didn't have to learn the basics of
being helpful. Then, I went to work for Tony Robbins as one of his coaches. He
gave me what I believe amounts to 1/3rd of the training I needed to
become a great and profitable coach. After I left Robbins organization, I
thought I would easily become a top coach so I tried hanging out my shingle as a
coach thinking that the world would come beating on my door . . . . It didn't
happen.
I would have starved to death had I not had money saved up.
So here's what I did.
I took the long slow route. I gave free sessions, but not much came of that.
I got a mentor, but I couldn't really dominate his time that much. I went to
coach’s meetings, which were great, but they were only once a month and usually
only covered one niche topic. If I was already good at that topic, then another
month would have to go by until I would get a shot at another topic that I
desperately needed.
The smartest thing I did . . .
I hired other coaches and built a team based upon the powerful concept of
coaching that I believed so much in. In that process I learned all the best
coaching techniques of every coach I worked with and we share resources. I heard
the best-of-the-best tell how they did it. I heard examples of their techniques
and I heard lots and lots of techniques . . . . more than I could use in a
lifetime of coaching.
I must have gotten over a thousand hours of coaching. I started using the
techniques and gradually I got better and better and started getting hired more
and more at higher fees than I ever dreamed possible. I kept up the learning. I
paid $1000.00 per month to learn some of it (from a man who built Tony Robbins
coaching organization and still coaches Tony to this day). My coaching fees kept
